A company that has a history

In 1898 , it was under the surname of the French-Swiss Company for the electrical industry that the first projects were completed .

In 1948 , the name was changed to General Company for Industry and finally in 1993, the full name has been abandoned in favor of the abbreviation with a common denominator of all Engineering activities : SGI Engineering SA

Over the years , the company has grown and developed with great success in Switzerland and abroad. In 1966, IMS Engineering Luxembourg SA was created. To manage all the group companies, IMS Consulting SA was on track in 1996.

In France , in 1999 , SECTRA joined the group (now SGI Engineering SAS) in 2001 the consultancy Being and in 2009 took place the merger of Belgian offices Abcis Van Wetter with the group. In 2009, SAS CETEC office joined the team of French group office .
