RARS - Regional Agricultural Research Station, Lumle

Regional Agricultural Research Station (RARS)'s goals in line with its mission statements are towards settlement of hill farming households to:

• Increase agricultural production and productivity
• Generate employment and income opportunities for agricultural entrepreneurs
• Improve nutrition of hill agricultural entrepreneurs and their families
• Sustain and improve the available natural resources

RARS Lumle has set following objectives to achieve its goals:
• Generate improved agricultural technologies to increase production and productivity for improved livelihood of hill agricultural entrepreneurs
• Help improve dissemination of technologies to the agricultural entrepreneurs and stakeholders through effective linkages, training and exchange visits, and through supply of improved seeds and stocks
• Help enhance the capability for the National Hill Agricultural Research System through development of effective research process, cadre and organizational network.
