CNCA - Coordinamento Nazionale Comunità di Accoglienza / The National Co-ordination Community of Reception

The National Co-ordination Community of Reception (CNCA) is a social promotion association organized in 16 regional federations to which about 260 organizations present in almost all the regions of Italy belong, including social cooperatives, social promotion associations, voluntary associations, organizations religious. It is present in all sectors of hardship and marginalization, with the aim of promoting citizenship rights and social well-being.

The Federation was born in the early 1980s , when people involved in drug addiction, youth distress, homelessness, disability felt the need to unite to form a cultural movement which, starting from the themes of poverty and exclusion , was able to contribute to a more just model of development and to propose political proposals and lifestyles adapted to the challenges of the present times.

In the CNCA there is no discrimination of faiths and cultures, rather a continuous dialogue develops between different inspirations according to a secular and pluralist approach .
