Qendra e Kujdesit Ditor - PEMA

Non-governmental organization which aims at genuine cooperation with international and local partners, government institutions and civil society in order to support and assist in the development and advancement of community-based social services for children with disabled as well as children from other vulnerable categories, and their families.
PEMA offers:
• Psychosocial / rehabilitation and counseling services for children with disabilities and children from other vulnerable categories through Day Care Centers.
• Psychological counseling for parents / guardians of children in need;
• Awareness and empowerment of parents to advocate and lobby for children's rights;
• Organizing round tables, seminars and conferences addressing the needs and rights of children from vulnerable categories;
• Creating spaces for the development of best practices in the field of providing services for children;
• Monitoring the implementation of national laws and policies for children;
• Awareness and mobilization of relevant state authorities at local and national level, sensitization of service providers and other actors on issues of protection and rights of children;
• Raising awareness among the general public on child protection issues without distinction;
• Increasing the participation of children and all groups that are most exposed to the violation of children's rights.
PEMA has established and developed four specialized day care centers in four municipalities of Kosovo (Prizren, Peja, Ferizaj and Gjilan).
