COOPI - Cooperazione Internazionale (Sudan)

COOPI has been present in Sudan since 2004 with a coordination office in Khartoum, one in El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur, one in Kassala and several other offices, where we implement Water and Sanitation, Livelihood and Food Security activities.

For some years now, emergency projects have also left room for resilience programmes to support local populations and create an environment that facilitates farmers' and breeders' access to natural resources for cultivation and farming. COOPI has also built or rehabilitated earth wells and dams for human and/or animal consumption, which are crucial for an area where subsistence agriculture highly depends on rainwater falling only three months a year.
