Refugee Trauma Initiative has rebranded as Amna to better reflect our values, our work, and the communities that we serve. Amna means safe and caring in Arabic.

Refugee Trauma Initiative has the vision to offer longitudinal support, tailored to the needs of displaced people and host communities, and to implant know-how that will stay with communities for as long as they are needed. Our approach to programming is simple and scalable. By targeting well-being and belonging among the communities with whom we work, we help newly-arrived refugees settle, heal, and begin integrating in their new host countries. We share this earth with 70 million displaced people, struggling to live dignified lives amid ever more complex crises. In order to respond effectively, we must be just as sustainable in the face of protracted crises. This why we employ locally and invest in local partnerships.
