Since 1990, the CFPI, a vocational training unit in engineering, attached to the group of EIER / ETSHER interstate schools, operates as a design office, which allows it to provide for young graduates a first professional experience. Supervised by teachers from schools, young engineers and senior technicians carry out operations, mainly in the field of hydro-agricultural development.
The ICSC, in order to better respond to the needs of member states, therefore was created with a triple objective:
- give young engineers and senior technicians coming out of schools a first professional experience in a consulting firm;
- give teachers of both EIER / ETSHER schools opportunities to practice their profession on real cases in the field and thus being able to stay in touch with these, but also to have concrete examples can illustrate their teaching;
- create a technical and methodological support structure for development operators in the fields competence of schools.
