Renfe operadora

The public business entity Renfe-Operadora is a public body provided for in article 103 of Law 40/2015 , of October 1, on the Legal Regime of the Public Sector, which is attached to the Ministry of Development.

Renfe-Operadora has its own legal personality and differentiated from that of the State, full legal capacity and to act for the fulfillment of its own purposes, assets and treasury, in the terms established in the third additional provision of Law 38/2015, of 1 of October 2015, of the Railway Sector and in the terms established in its own Statute, approved by Royal Decree 2396/2004, of December 30 (BOE of December 31).

The Renfe group and its companies are based on four lines of activity: passenger transport and marketing of associated products in metropolitan, regional, national and international environments ( Renfe Viajeros, SA .), Freight transport and logistics services (Renfe Merchandise, SA ), maintenance and industrial work ( Renfe Fabricación y Mantenimiento, SA .) and management of rolling stock available to the market (Renfe Alquiler de Material Ferroviario, SA .).
