FGC - Fédération Genevoise de Coopération / The Geneva Cooperation Federation

The Geneva Cooperation Federation (FGC) brings together some sixty organizations active in Geneva in international solidarity, development cooperation, public awareness and information on North-South relations. It is the privileged partner of many Geneva public authorities wishing to engage in development cooperation.

The FGC has been working since 1966 with its member organizations and their partners to fight inequalities in the world and increase the freedom of choice of societies and peoples in their construction of economic, social and cultural well-being.

To fulfill this mission, the FGC carries out two types of actions:

• International development cooperation with the South : the FGC plays an interface role between its members, their partners in the field and the public authorities which participate in the financing of projects in Africa, Latin America and Asia.
• Information, awareness and debate in the North : the FGC regularly meets with its members or the general public to discuss global issues and practices in development cooperation. It also develops advocacy actions to promote international solidarity through mobilization campaigns or publications.
