The Global Cooperation for International Development (GCID-GHANA) at its founding in March 2010, was poised to create, formulate, device or develop the concepts, ideas and policies required to transform international and multilateral platform or cooperation on a leading global challenges, such as exploring new paths and strategies for achieving economic and social justice worldwide, including macro-economic policy frameworks, democratization, strengthening of fragile states, increasing peace and security through strategic political wisdom, social justice and greater respect for human rights, developing global certification system and improving the capacity of international organizations and governments to function effectively and to monitor compliance.

GCID is charged with the responsibility of spearheading a global lobbying effort to speed up progress on securing strategic resources to tackle the most pressing issues and challenges facing the world, including climate change and its devastating consequences on the world’s population, food insecurity, poverty, malnutrition, HIV/AIDS, malaria and other health related catastrophes. The reduction of security threats and small arms are also among the core objectives of GCID including the development of cooperate code of conduct in all ‘face fits’ programmes of the organization.
