CIPAV - Center for Research on Sustainable Agricultural Production Systems / Centro para la Investigación en Sistemas Sostenibles de Producción Agropecuaria

CIPAV is a non-profit Non-Governmental Organization founded under the name of the Interinstitutional Agreement for the Agricultural Production of Valle del Cauca, given the need to generate new alternatives for the use of sugar cane, which at that time faced a strong price crisis. Center for Research on Sustainable Agricultural Production Systems - CIPAV has worked together with rural producers in the development of sustainable agricultural production systems in applied and participatory research processes, which arise from the demands of knowledge and innovation from various users. These demands for knowledge and development are analyzed by the researchers and the Board of Directors, made up of producers, who jointly plan the issues and approaches that can be addressed and the socioeconomic and agro-ecological contexts in which they can be applied.
