Communauté des Transports (Verkéiersverbond)

On February 1, 2006, the Verkéiersverbond (Community of Transport), a public establishment under the supervision of the Ministry of Mobility and Public Works, took over from the Régie Générale des Transports Publics (RGTP).

The main mission of the Verkéiersverbond is to improve the coordination of the public transport network. To do this, it defines actions and proposes projects in close collaboration with its partners: the Autobus de la Ville de Luxembourg (AVL), the Société Nationale des Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois (SNCFL), the Luxembourg Federation of Bus and Bus Operators. 'Autocars (FLEAA), the General Road Transport Regime (RGTR), Luxtram and the Intercommunal Transport of People in the Canton of Esch-sur-Alzette (TICE).

Its mission is also to promote public transport and all kinds of alternative mobility.
