About

The International Network for Human Rights – Europe (RIDHE) is a dynamic, intercontinental platform that connects civil society organizations, human rights defenders, universities, and public and private institutions across Europe and Latin America. Our purpose is clear: to strengthen the capacities of those who defend, promote, and protect human rights, especially in contexts of risk and structural inequality.

From an approach rooted in social justice, gender, and intersectionality, we foster transformative processes that give visibility and support to historically excluded communities, with a special focus on women human rights defenders, youth, persons with disabilities, displaced populations, and people in situations of forced mobility. Our work draws on participatory and innovative methodologies, specialized training, and academic analysis to bring to life high-impact collaborative initiatives.

RIDHE specializes in education in emergency contexts, humanitarian assistance, the rights of migrants, and international political advocacy. We maintain an active presence before the main human rights mechanisms of the United Nations and the European Union, advocating for fairer, more inclusive, and sustainable public policies.

With our headquarters in Brussels (Belgium), regional offices in San José (Costa Rica), and technical representation in Geneva (Switzerland), our actions respond to both local and global realities. We implement comprehensive support programs for displaced persons, promoting economic and social inclusion, personal and collective autonomy, and the right to build a dignified life in conditions of freedom and security.

Our strength lies in the network: a diverse, gender-equal, and collaborative community that coordinates efforts across 13 countries and continues to grow through partnerships with universities, research centers, cultural spaces, and international organizations in Europe, Latin America, and the Caribbean.

We believe in education, science, art, and a culture of peace as fundamental tools for human development, equality, and the construction of possible futures for all people, leaving no one behind.
