The Siemens Industry Sector has been heavily involved in providing automation equipment, control systems, drives and motors to various Tanzanian customers in industries as diverse as cement, mining, sugar, harbours, railways and water. In the field of water technologies, Siemens was involved in the rehabilitation of the raw and clear water works of City Water, providing clean water to the greater Dar es Salaam region. The company also designed, installed and commissioned the medium-voltage motor control centres (MCCs) for pump stations at DAWASA’s Lower Ruvu river raw and treated water works.
