CETA - Construcao e Servicos S.A.

CETA was created in 1980, bringing together some of the best staff and technicians in the country with the mission of building the new Independent Mozambique;

CETA Engenharia e Construção, in its corporate format as a Public Limited Company, originated in May 1999 as a result of the privatization of CETA – Obras de Engenharia EE, which represented the largest engineering and construction company in the period after independence;

In 2012, through an operation carried out on the Mozambique Stock Exchange, CETA expanded its national shareholder base with the entry of a few hundred new shareholders; In May 2014, it became the first national company in the construction sector to be certified in Quality by international entities, with the ISO 9001:2008 seal.

CETA's Integrated Management System is based on an identified process approach and the scope of certification was the Planning, Management and Implementation of Construction Projects. The implementation of the Integrated Management, Quality, Environment and Occupational Health and Safety System aimed to ensure customer satisfaction based on improved performance, guaranteeing Occupational Health and Safety conditions and respect for the Environment.

With the aim of further updating its corporate focus, in 2015, it was renamed, in a rebranding process, CETA ENGENHARIA E CONSTRUAÇÃO. Since September 2016, CETA has been part of the NEF group - Investimentos e Gestão de Participações Sociais, SA.

In February 2017, CETA renewed its certification and also transitioned its system to the ISO 9001.2015 standard. In recent years, it has continued to invest in production and organizational processes, through strengthening the skills of key staff, the systematization of work processes, with the introduction of the SAP system, operational decentralization, aiming to transform it into a thriving, modern company and national flag in construction in Mozambique;

It currently has around 1,600 workers as well as main shipyards throughout the country (Maputo, Beira, Tete, Nampula) in addition to a fleet of equipment and properties distributed throughout the country.

Regarding the business segments in which it operates, we have:

 Buildings - Construction and rehabilitation of schools and hospitals; construction of houses and apartments, offices, warehouses, and other buildings.

 Roads - Construction and rehabilitation of roads and bridges, paving of roads

 Water and Sanitation - Construction and rehabilitation of water supply, sanitation and drainage systems
