Associação das Agências de Energia e Ambiente - RNAE

RNAE - Association of Energy and Environment Agencies (National Network), created on January 28, 2010, is a cooperation network made up of all the Energy and Environment Agencies of municipal and regional scope, which voluntarily decided to join the network in the sharing information and experiences, as well as fostering partnerships between agencies.

RNAE is a non-profit association, with a legal existence, whose main objective is to promote the participation of the various Energy and Environment Agencies in projects with a wide scope, as well as to promote the articulation with entities linked to the areas of energy and environmental policies.It is also RNAE's objective that the associated Energy and Environment Agencies have a greater participation in municipal, national and European actions, which aim at the rational use of energy and the promotion of renewable energies, ensuring their credibility with regard to management of energy and the environment and the guarantee of policies framed in an increasing priority for the Country and Municipalities to seek and define solutions that reduce energy dependence from abroad.

Externally, it is intended to collaborate with all national and European actors with a view to developing local strategies that integrate energy efficiency and sustainable development, in particular, plans to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Its geographic area of coverage coincides with the area of activity of the associated Energy Agencies (about 70% of the Municipalities in Portugal), which does not mean that RNAE cannot intervene in other regions and/or articulate partnerships with object entities different to fulfill your goals and mission.
