As a joint venture of Leipziger Verkehrsbetriebe (LVB) GmbH and Siemens AG, IFTEC is responsible for maintaining the complete system of vehicles and permanent way of the tram system. When IFTEC was founded in April 2005, it was our vision to provide our customers with competent solutions for all matters relating to the maintenance of permanent way infrastructure and rail vehicles. The success shows that we were right on track.

Since our foundation we have taken responsibility in our core business for the maintenance of vehicles and permanent ways for the Leipziger Verkehrsbetriebe (LVB) GmbH.

From the beginning our focus was on expanding our business activities beyond the LVB group and aligning ourselves with specific customer needs. Successively we have expanded our sales activities and involved consulting services. So we have been able to complete projects with complex service specifications for a wide range of national and international clients. The gained customer relations have also become an essential pillar of business.
