Since its establishment in 1998 until today, NOA serves a unique objective: the financial and economic development of our country.

By financing the establishment and expansion of the activity of Albanian businesses and farmers, NOA aims to directly contribute to improving the quality of life for thousands of families who benefit from increased income, new jobs, increased economic activity, as in cities as well as in rural areas of the country. In these 23 years of activity, NOA has proven that this business model, financing of entrepreneurs and small farmers, fast and bureaucratic financing for this segment of the Albanian economy, brings development and prosperity, as well as improved living in Albanian families.

Founded by USAID and transformed in 2010 as NOA sh.a., the main goal of the institution is to improve the lives of Albanians by fulfilling their ambitions for financial development, through self-employment, development of agricultural family property, creation of a business small or expansion of entrepreneurial activity. NOA believes in the strength of the market to do good, to generate wealth and social welfare for all walks of life, in broad access to finance, in free and fair competition for all.

Since its inception, our mission has been to empower Albanian businesses, farmers and families, being a long-term partner of our clients in their entrepreneurial journey, to further develop their ambitions in fulfilling their entrepreneurial dreams.

NOA operates in the Albanian microfinance market supported by a modern infrastructure, a unique operational model, and a professional staff that puts above all the values of transparency, quality of service, speed and security. The expertise and high technological level for which it has been invested over the years, enables NOA to handle many times faster than the banking sector of any request for financing, regardless of the channel chosen by the client: online application, field application thanks to staff our mobile equipped with electronic tablets, or physical application near the NOA branch network. This model, coupled with a centralized approval procedure as well as a solid and proven legal framework, has enabled NOA to grow a high quality loan portfolio in both impact and repayment terms.

With 260 employees, NOA injects every year about 30 million euros in the economy of our country, addressed to small entrepreneurs, consolidated businesses or those in the first steps, farmers and agro-processors, every individual who has self-confidence and that the system banking does not offer them an adapted financial solution. These funds are not public donations but private financing lines dedicated to agricultural entrepreneurship that are accessible only through European private financial markets.

At NOA, all staff are committed to providing a "Quick and Easy" service, anytime and anywhere our client, resident in urban or rural areas. This comes as NOA covers with its financial service, about 90% of the entire territory of Albania and specializes in handling financing in sectors such as manufacturing, processing, agriculture, livestock, trade, tourism and services. This investment has led NOA to develop over the years a diversified loan portfolio which is mainly in local currency, thus managing the exchange risk itself and protecting the client.

In addition to engaging in long-term and sustainable strategies, certification according to the European Code of Good Behavior in Microfinance, good management of company resources thanks to the commitment of a highly professional staff, or reliance on international expertise as a company with totally foreign capital , the growth and solidity of NOA are also attributed to reputable strategic partners, international and domestic, who are important factors in the microfinance industry in the region such as: EBRD, OMP, BKT, Responsibility Global Microfinance Fund, EFSE, BSTDB, Oiko Credit, Blue Orchard, Societe Generale, International Commercial Bank, Tirana Bank, First Investment Bank etc.
