Zagope - Construções e Engenharia S.A.

Zagope - Construções e Engenharia S.A. is a company specialised in Public Works. Since its Foundation, in 1967, it has greatly contributed to the development and modernisation of the Portuguese infrastructure network.

In 1988 ZAGOPE was fully acquired by the Andrade Gutierrez Group (AG), a Brazilian group with significant international presence and operations in Public Works, Telecommunications, Infrastructure Concessions and Energy.

In 2004 the internationalisation process of the AG Group, which included markets in Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East, was entirely allocated to Zagope, enabling the sustainable growth of its portfolio, turnover and results

Zagope has been distinguished by various awards, such as the World Structure Engineering Award for the execution of the “Enlargement of the Madeira Airport”- IABSE (International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering).

With more than 8,000 collaborators and a turnover of 506 million Euros, ZAGOPE occupies the 4th position among the largest and best companies in the Construction sector in Portugal.
