About
The Vive Le Paysan Association is a basic secular association created in 1979 and recognized by the authorities of Burkina in 1984 by Order N°11/IS/CAB/DAP. The Vive Le Paysan Association is not affiliated with any Church, political party or trade union.
The Vive Le Paysan Association is a member of National and International NGO collectives such as the SPONG (Permanent Secretariat of NGOs) of Burkina Faso, of which it chaired for two years, the Liaison Committee for the International Environment (CLEI , KENYA), and is a member of a group of NGOs working in the same sector of activity such as Education (consultation framework in basic education), radio broadcasters (AMC, ARC, URCAF AMPC), Health, etc. The Burkinabé state during the year dedicated to the peasantry in 1987 awarded the Vive Le Paysan Association a "Silver Medal for Merit of Work" on August 4, 1987.
The Association Vive Le Paysan was created in the years 1979-1980. The spark came from the search by young people for solutions to alleviate the problems of rural exodus.
It was necessary to find occupations in the village that could bring young people together, motivate them and have enough attraction and profit (material and moral) to keep them there. One thing leading to another and as if to follow up on the exchanges after the games, the group came to think of something else, and decided to get involved in activities for its own betterment.
After five (5) years of hesitation, the Association Vive Le Paysan was recognized on June 1, 1984 by the State as an Association of peasants, legal and official, non-profit, with its motto:
1) To create between the young people a true spirit of team and work.
2) Make the village pleasant so that you don't have to go to town to look for work.
3) Trying to "do something" to make money.
Currently the mission of the Association is to "make the young farmer capable and aware of being the main actor of his own well-being".
