The Research Centre for Health Promotion (HEMIL Centre) is part of the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Bergen. 

The Hemil Centre was established in 1988. It was reorganised as the Department of Health Promotion and Development in 2010, and includes the disciplines health promotion, child welfare and global development. The Department, which is interdisciplinary and covers health- and social science research, collaborates with researchers from other faculties and universities, both nationally and internationally.
