Sewai Foundation

Sewai Foundation has focused on the backward difficult to reach rural and as semi-urban areas of Sindh province. As an active developmental organization foundation is playing own due role by initiating and supporting different development activities and in human rights campaign of different organizations. Its approach to organizational development based upon the human resource development, strengthening the local community organizations and civil society groups and networking and coalition building with local government agencies and civil societies groups, and over all is to strength the Sewai Foundation on strong institutional grounds with clear vision, mission, objectives and strategies.

Main thematic areas of the organizational work are Basic Health, Primary Education/Literacy, Poverty Alleviation, Human Rights, Environment, Sustainable Agriculture Development, Culture and Rural Development. Foundation attempts and encourages the initiatives in these sectors because these are the important factors for well being and in improving the life of poor peoples in developing countries. Foundation works by making groups in community, to contribute the over all development process and by identification and mobilization of local resources, and by sharing ideas and methods with other NGOs, private sector and government to prevent the wastages of energies in development work and by designing and implementation of projects and programs to contribute the sustainable development in backward communities and programmes to contribute the sustainable development process in backward communities, Sewai Foundation also seeks functional partnership with other NGOs that can contribute in the proficiency and other resources to the Foundations’ activities
