ESG‐Escola Superior Gallaecia

ESG‐Escola Superior Gallaecia has been established by the Convento da Orada Foundation (FCO), Foundation for the Safeguarding and Rehabilitation of Architectural Heritage, since 1995. The Foundation is governed by its Statutes and has been recognized in Diário da Republica, Series, nº 284, of December 10, 1988.

ESG‐Escola Superior Gallaecia was recognized by the Ministry of Education in Diário Republica, in I Series-AA, nº66, Dec.Lei n.º 89/99, of March 19, 1999. The university institution is recognized by the requirement, quality and rigor in the training of its graduates and the research developed.

It is one of the few university establishments of a cross-border nature, due to its location, and because part of its academic community is Spanish. Its main characteristics are the personalized teaching and the close relationship existing between the heritage, the environment and the arts, in the study cycles taught. It is one of the few university institutions integrated in non-urban contexts.
