The vision of Timbuktu Institute-African Center for Peace Studies, thus worded, is articulated around 7 programmatic axes:
Axis 1:
Prevention of conflict and violence - including violent extremism - through sensitization and advocacy according to a methodology based on research-action results and community anchoring of strategies
Axis 2:
Prevention of extremisms of all kinds that can lead to violence, terrorism and inter-community happiness through a holistic and inclusive approach based on the involvement of local populations, education and awareness through innovative methods including media and digital strategies and cultural etc.
Axis 3:
Promotion of the culture of peace through the educational approach and the enhancement of endogenous resources, cultural heritage and the strengthening of resilience
Axis 4:
Mediation and conflict resolution through inclusive dialogue promoting the efficient involvement and leadership of women and young people
Axis 5 :
Active contribution to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through social communication focused on technological innovation and digital strategies as well as a better synergy of initiatives and a constructive South-North dialogue
Axis 6 :
Social inclusion of young people to reduce socio-economic vulnerabilities exposing them to risks related to cross-border crime, human trafficking and irregular migration
Axis 7 :
Education in Human Rights and cultural diversity in order to effectively fight against inequalities and discrimination
