About
The FAMP is an association formed by the Andalusian Local Entities (municipalities, provinces and associations) that voluntarily decide, for the defense and promotion of local autonomies, and the defense of culture, socioeconomic development and the values of Andalusia as Autonomous Community, in the exercise that the Constitution recognizes all nationalities.
According to its statutes, the purposes of the Federation are the promotion and defense of local autonomy; the representation and defense of the general interests of the Local Entities before other Public Administrations or private institutions; the provision, directly or through companies or entities, to the Local Corporations of those services that are of interest to them; the dissemination of local institutions among citizens and other public or private institutions; the development and consolidation of the European spirit at the municipal and provincial level based on autonomy and solidarity among Local Entities; the development and consolidation of the regional spirit and of cooperation between the municipalities directly, with the aim of improving services, socio-economic development and communications;
