About

Agence de Catholique de Presse , is a Catholic press agency - the only one in Africa - founded in January 1957. Owned by the Episcopal Conference of Congo, the Agency was directed for twenty-five years by Fathers of Scheut, before being entrusted to the management of the Jesuit Fathers, in 1983.
In 40 years of existence, the DIA Agency has contributed to making known to the world the cultural, ecclesial, political and socio-economic realities of Africa in general and of the Congo in particular. It has taken a clear option for the promotion of justice, for the awareness of the African peoples of the effort to build truly human and democratic societies, in a specifically Christian perspective.
