Incorporated in June 2016 AD under the Company Act of Nepal, Urja has been able to establish a portfolio of hydropower projects with a cumulative installed capacity of over 275 MW. These projects are in various phases of development: some are in the feasibility study phase, some in the construction stages. Urja envisions harnessing 1 GW (1000 MW) hydropower potential in the country by 2030 AD; coherent with the plan and policy of the Government of Nepal.
