Michael helps organisations achieve breakthroughs. His project work with some outstanding partners in Russia, Central Asia, the Balkans, Caucasus, Southern Europe, East and West Africa, and the Middle East and North Africa have exposed him to the dilemmas facing organisations seeking to realign large complex systems.

Working with organisations, citizens, communities and agencies experiencing and responding to change, Michael facilitates agency efforts to involve participants stakeholders, target groups, partners and especially local government, in programme planning and evaluation from the 'get go'.

Exposure to European Neighbourhood programmes since the 1990s, assisting agencies map stakeholders to convene 'breakthrough' meetings, Michael supports new projects with M&E planning tools, and designing feedback loops for a wide ranging stakeholder and investor requirements.

Expertise in project design delivering over 30 design workshops for both state and non state organisations with follow up consultancy support, Michael assists EU beneficiaries develop project proposals for funding, for example for EU grant scheme mechanisms.

Expertise in managing donor grant projects, providing technical assistance to help beneficiaries manage projects, Michael helps organisations integrate results based approaches into their project planning and delivery.
