The only business association specific to the naval sector in Galicia. Established in 1999, the Galician Naval Cluster Association (ACLUNAGA) was the second group of companies created in the Spanish naval sector under the Cluster concept. Since then, work has been done on greater diversification towards new sectors with a high technological content, while the Cluster has established itself as the first and main meeting point of the entire business and social network that participates in shipbuilding.

Since its inception and promoted by the Department of Industry, Commerce and Innovation, ACLUNAGA's objectives were focused on technological improvement and research, productive sophistication and efficiency improvements, as well as new methods of production and quality design, training and organization.

The group of companies whose interests converge in the production of high-quality products has played a very important role in especially delicate situations and in the last economic crisis. Business cooperation, together with the involvement of other agents that affect the sector (administration, university, unions, sectoral associations), is revealed as a first-level strategic factor to face the challenges that arise.
