UZACE - Uzbekistan Association of Consulting Engineers

Uzbekistan Association of Consultings Engineers (hereinafter referred to as Uzace) was established in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from 11.09.2018. PP-3939 "On measures to organize accelerated implementation of entrepreneurial initiatives and projects in the regions".
Along with the tasks defined by the above-mentioned decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the main goal pursued by UZACE is a phased import substitution of engineering and consulting services mainly in large, complex and strategically important investment projects, including through the formation of consortia with foreign engineering companies.

Non-state and non-profit organization (NGO) UZACE voluntarily unite legal entities and individuals professionally engaged in the implementation of project, engineering works, as well as consulting services in construction and provides assistance through coordination of cooperation and professional development of its members in the implementation of project, engineering works, consulting services in Uzbekistan.

The Association is called upon to promote development of ability of design, engineering and consulting organizations of the country to independently perform the whole range of works and services in this field, including project preparation, author's and technical supervision over construction, project management works and others.

Considering the growth of foreign investments into the country's economy, the issue of necessity of preparation of high-quality project documentation on investment projects, maximal localization of project services, independent technical supervision over construction works has sharply risen. These factors were the reasons for establishment of UZACE, which will serve as a platform for improving the quality of project, engineering and consulting work carried out by local organizations. It is also important to note that UZACE will be a bridge connecting and strengthening international cooperation with representatives of the global engineering industry, considering the increased status of Uzbek engineers and consultants in the international market.

The Association's objectives also include addressing issues of comprehensive support to the republic's design, engineering and consulting organizations, technical universities, their integration with leading international organizations and associations of consulting engineers in order to introduce the latest achievements and innovative approaches in design, construction and project management, training and professional development of designers, consulting engineers, experts and staff of project implementation teams.
