Cyprus Civil Defence

The main mission of the Cyprus Civil Defence Force is carrying out various humanitarian projects intended to protect the civilian population and to help it recover from the immediate effects of hostilities or disasters, as well as to provide the conditions necessary for its survival.Civil Defence in the broadest sense, is series of measures, preventive and repressive, whose goals are the protection and the security of people and their property and the mitigation of the possible results, whether are caused by hostile action, natural or technological disaster, among the population.

The Civil Defence Force is an organised service under the Ministry Interior and covers the whole free areas of the Republic of Cyprus.
