MATIERE SAS

The story of the Matière Company began in 1932, when it was founded by Louis Matière in Arpajon-sur-Cère in the Cantal region of central France. Since then, the firm has grown and now specialises in earth-moving, concrete structures and, most of all, metal structures. The company is still based in Cantal, but now has a workforce of 415 employees working in locations across the country, with agencies centred in Lyon, Nîmes, Aurillac and Paris. There are two production sites producing metal bridges in Charmes (Vosges) and Bagnac-sur-Célé (Lot). A further two sites in Arpajon-sur-Cère (15) and Brive la Gaillarde (Corrèze), in addition to a mobile prefabrication plant, are dedicated to prefabricated reinforced concrete structures. The company was built on the core values of innovation, quality and integration, and under the stewardship of Marcel of Philippe Matière it is now one of the leading French producers of metal bridges.
