GAM Gonzagarredi Montessori SRL

In 1925, following direct indications from Maria Montessori , guest of her friend Donna Maria Maraini Guerrieri Gonzaga, an artisan activity began in Gonzaga for the production of educational materials and furnishings according to the Montessori method. From that first nucleus, a production reality was launched and developed which, in 1975, from a private company “Baroni e Marangon” was transformed into a cooperative company: “Gonzagarredi Soc. Coop.”.

Born on 1 April 2014, the newco GonzagArredi Montessori Srl (in GAM acronym) has collected the tradition of the cooperative company and combined it with the experience and production and managerial capacity of Fami , the company that owns the entire property.

GonzagArredi Montessori has maintained the commercial structure of the cooperative and today produces equipment and furniture for children in kindergartens, preschools, school furniture, library furniture, furniture for playrooms and teaching materials for the Montessori Method .

The company makes use of the collaboration of university professors, professionals and experts in various sectors. Production efficiency, the development of new product lines and the ability to respond by hand to the required “customizations” are qualifying characteristics to adequately satisfy the design and supply requests.

Our Montessori materials are recognized and approved by the International Montessori Association (AMI) , founded by Maria Montessori, based in the Netherlands. AMI accreditation is granted to three companies around the world and Gonzagarredi is the only one in Italy.
