ASSOAL - Association pour l'Amour du Livre et le Développement Local

Since its establishment, ASSOAL has been working to ensure that people living in poverty are able to enjoy their ESCR, through working on localizing development policies to ensure that communities are stakeholders and partners in these policies through participation, civic engagement and promotion of the economic, social and cultural rights of citizens. ASSOAL has been engaging with UN treaty bodies in documenting and reporting on the situation of ESCR in Cameroon. Also, it has developed and established a national observatory of economic, social, and cultural rights for the collection of data related violations of ESCR.
