St. Luke Catholic Hospital and College of Nursing and Midwifery is situated in Wolisso Town, the capital of the Southwest Shoa Zone, Oromia Regional State. The hospital and college is owned by the Ethiopian Catholic Bishops’ conference. St. Luke Catholic Hospital is licensed with the Government as a Higher General Hospital and serves as the Zonal Hospital for Southwest Shoa Zone in the Oromia Region. The Catholic Bishops’ conference of Ethiopia (CBCE) is responsible for the overall management of the Hospital and College of Nursing and Midwifery.
The Board of Governors members are appointed by the CBCE. The main responsibility of the Board of Governors is to facilitate the realization of the objectives of the hospital. The board of Governors has the final concern for the overall organization and functioning. The day to day running of the hospital is the responsibility of the management team in accordance with the policies approved by the Board of Governors.
