Created in 1957 by Royal Decree , the Moroccan Red Crescent is a voluntary relief organization recognized charity , auxiliary government civilian and military health. As auxiliary to the public authorities, the state organs CRM shoulder while keeping its neutrality and independence in accordance with the principles and values of the International Movement of the Red Cross and Red Crescent .

CRM is recognized by the ICRC in 1958 and admitted as a full member in the International Federation of National Red Cross Societies and Red Crescent . Moroccan Red Crescent , because of its mandate under the Dahir of creation , provides assistance to people in disaster , if s armed conflicts and situations of exception programs through capacity building of teaching first aid, disaster preparedness and risk reduction , and awareness . With its multiple interventions and disinterested , the Moroccan Red Crescent is now a major player in the humanitarian and social fields.
