Rio Music and Film’s Production Industry Association South Sudan (Rmfpiass) is a national non-profit making organization in south Sudan established and registered in 2020 under the ACT 2016 of the law of south Sudan. RMFPIASS has been working for a period of one year in promotion of Tolerance, Pluralism, livelihood, Cultural Diversity, Capacity Building, Education, Human Right, Peaceful co-existence among youths and people of south Sudan.

OUR FINANCIAL SOURCES:

RMFPIASS; Get their financial support, through fundraising mobilization, international Donors contribution, Government agent, private Sector, Charitable donation, in-kind donation, event competition or benevolent bodies and sympathizers.

OUR MISSION:

  1. Music for All’s mission is to create, provide and expand positively life-changing experiences through music for all. We believe that music and arts education is a core to youths and students’ educational and must be available to all youth and students. Music for All is an advocate for music and arts education. Our educational programs support the efforts of instrumental music teachers on the general public as well as provide positively life-changing experiences for all citizens of South Sudan.
  2. To supporting South Sudan Musical industry to enables talented young musicians to acquire the necessary skills to perform, read, writes, document and transmit their own music cultures. This will empower them to engage in local and interregional markets and contribute to the development of a diverse and dynamic music sector.

Our Goals

Goal 1: Support Sustainable Systems of Governance for Culture;

  1. Create Vocational training programmes for unemployed youth to acquire skills in the cultural and creative industries
  2. Create job placement schemes in cultural and creative industry.
  3. To acquire enough knowledge as a young talented musicians.
  4. To create room for cultural diversity music’s talent.
  5. To promote capacity building in areas of live band music.
  6. Provide events for practical music talents.

Goal 2: Promote Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms:

  1. Establish leadership and mentorship programmes for women in the cultural and creative industries.
  2. Collect sex-disaggregated data to track gender equality in the cultural sector.
  3. To monitor violations of artistic freedom/media freedom.

  7. To inline with ministry of health to promote awareness’s of any outbreak of disease in the country

MISSION STATEMENT:

Rio Music and Films Production industry & Association South Sudan Founded in 2020, is a modern-day realization of Francis Moga Henry, an imagined spiritual fraternity of creative thinking and minds.   

RMFPIASS is Youth Oriented to Promote the Interests and Skills of the Youth through Trainings, Knowledge and Information Sharing, Advocacy and Networking for Sustainable Development. And the musical public, in the belief that the ultimate artistic decisions in all situations must be made by the artists themselves, for the sake of the integrity and therefore; the life of South Sudan tradition Local music in the twenty-first century needed to be develop now.  We hold regular meetings with my youth’s group and discuss our concerts and projects together, and help one another with whatever resources available. 

RMFPIASS is to help musicians articulate their messages more directly to the world and RMFPIASS;make it a priority to create dynamic partnerships among musicians, managers, and presenters, and to promote young artists internationally through our concert series and collaborations with other organizations.  We believe that we contribute to the ever-evolving music industry and to the society-at-large by living and renewing the ideals of artists, as envisioned by artists.

OUR VISION:

Music for All will be a catalyst to ensure that every child across South Sudan has access and opportunity to participate in active music-making in his or her scholastic environment and we will use our knowledge and resources to provide national programs that recognize and support musical industry and give them high performance and success, offer music educator training and professional development, and deliver tools and resources to participants and their communities that will assist them in supporting music education by promoting awareness of music’s impact on youth/citizen growth and achievement.

OBJECTIVES AND GUIDING PRINCIPLES:

Overall Purpose:

The overall purpose is to inculcate the social norms and values in delinquent youth group by developing a sense of responsibility and good conduct amongst them. It will work towards enhancing the chance of been self-reliance, employability as well as promote self-employment, and entrepreneurship skills to become more competitive and reduce unemployment.

Specific objectives:

  1. To strengthen the capacity of young men and women to participate in the advancement of music & film’s production industry and to encoring practice live band Centre for talent, to build the capacity of locals in musical & film’s production industry and encourage self-reliance through trainings, technological transfer, and peace building for socio-economic transformation.
  2. To spear hand and launch sustainable young talent musician in every events to create socio- economic transformation in South Sudan communities through music & film’s production industry.
  3. To empower young people to engage in local and interregional markets and networks allowing for the development of a more diverse and dynamic music industry.
  4. To capacitate youth organization, young professional, actors/agents of non-formal and formal music education system and local music industry to engage in strategic cooperation, to attract more young men and women candidates to develop their music and educational skills through information technologies.
  5. To protect and promote the diversity of cultural expressions;
  6. To create the condition for cultures to flourish and to freely interact in a mutually beneficial manner;
  7. To foster inter-culturality in order to develop cultural interaction in the spirit of building bridges among people;
  8. To promote respect for the diversity of cultural expressions and raise awareness of its value at the local, national and international level;

GUIDING PRINCIPLES:

  1. Principle of respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms:

Cultural diversity can be protected and promoted only if human rights and fundamental freedoms, such as freedom of expression, information and communication, as well as the ability of individuals to choose cultural expressions, are guaranteed.

  •   Principle of equal dignity of and respect for all cultures;

The protection and promotion of the diversity of cultural expressions presuppose the recognition of equal dignity of and respect for all cultures, including the cultures of persons belonging to minority and indigenous people;

  • Principle of the complementarity of economic and cultural aspects of development.

Since culture is one of the mainspring of development, cultural aspects of development are as important as its economic aspects, which individuals and peoples have the fundamental right to participate in and enjoy.

  • Principle of sustainable development

Cultural diversity is a rich asset for individuals and society. The protection, promotion and maintenance of cultural diversity are an essential requirement for sustainable development for the benefit of present and future generations.
