STFE Co., Ltd. (STFE) was established on April 10, 1997 with its former name as S.T. Power Service Co., Ltd. (STPS) and then rename to S.T. Fortum Engineering Company Limited after Fortum Engineering Limited (leading electrical and engineering company from FINLAND) became operating partner. The businesses cover multi-discipline technical services, specifically in the field of electrical and mechanical as well as turnkey works for power generation. The specific areas of technical services provided include engineering designs and consultancy, construction and refurbishment for power and cogeneration plants. Other business activities involve operation and maintenance for biomass power plants, and supplying of highly efficient and energy saving equipment such as gas engine and design of energy recovery systems.
