Afghanistan National Public Health Institute (ANPHI)

ANPHI is the academic and intellectual body of MoPH which develops HR for public health. ANPHI in general is the academic and intellectual body of MoPH which develops HR for public health; coordinates and conduct researches; gathers, and analyzes health data and synthesizes required health information for making and advocating decisions, policies and plans; to improve the quality of health system performance and attain the long term goals of the MoPH.

Mission:

1. Develops Human Resources in public Health & Management.
2. Coordinates and conducts necessary research to assess the existing health situation, health system performances and their impact.
3. Analyzes data and synthesizes health information for making and advocating decisions, policies and plans.
4. Improves disease surveillance & DEWS and timely response.
5. Serves as center for Referral, quality assurance and capacity building in lab services, and lab base for research and disease surveillance in the country.
6.Promotes the health of the people through reaching the community to influence positive lifestyle changes.
