We derive our name from the Askia Dynasty of the Songhai Empire (1492 - 1591) in West Africa. The Askias were the most successful rulers of the Songhai Empire - skilfully expanding the empire to cover vast territory spanning from what is now Senegal, to Northern Nigeria and present day Niger. Their greatest legacy however, was the establishment of Timbuktu as an unparalleled centre for learning and the acquisition of knowledge. With this in mind, our primary goal is to be a source of knowledge for our clients.
