About
Citizens' association Budućnost is a non-governmental organization founded shortly after the signing of the Dayton Peace Agreement in 1996. The organization was founded by several women, optimists, who, believing in a better future, decided to take an active part in the construction of the post-war Bosnian society. From the very beginning of its work, Buducnost, as an organization, has always been faithful to its primary strategy - the promotion and protection of women's human rights. At the same time, one must have in mind the fact that at the time of the beginning of our work the most important issue in the country was the establishment of peace, which was only one in a series of processes from which women were completely excluded. Today, more than ten years after the war, issues of civil, political and social rights of women are still not important issues in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
