Zadar County extends the total area of 7276.23 km2 and is located in the central part of the Croatian Adriatic coast .
Certain of its beautiful location in the Republic of Croatia , Zadar became a major transportation link , linked to the national road and highway A1 Zagreb - Split (aka Dalmatians ) , airlines ( Zadar Airport ) , ferries to Ancona in Italy ( from Zadar ) and rail routes with the rest of the Croatian .
Geographically, the county surrounding the Cres -Lošinj , Kornati , Žut-Sit and Murter archipelago . On the land side , surrounded by a mountain range Dinarides and Velebit , Lika sredogorje , Pljesivice and Uilicom (BiH ), and Northern Dalmatian plateau . Administratively , it borders with Sibenik-Knin , Primorje-Gorski Kotar and Lika -Senj . In the east it borders with Bosnia and Herzegovina , the length limit is 24 km away and the international sea border with Italy to the west, is 83.43 km .
