ARTICLE 39: The National Fund for Science, Technology and Innovation (FONACIT), is the financial entity of the resources destined to science, technology, innovation and its applications, by the national authority with competence in matters of science, technology , innovation and its applications and, consequently, is responsible for the administration, collection, control, supervision, verification and quantitative and qualitative determination of the contributions for science, technology, innovation and its applications, as well as ensuring its proper execution. and follow-up, without prejudice to the powers conferred on other bodies or entities attached to the national authority with competence in matters of science, technology, innovation.
