About

The National Agency for Public Procurement (ANAP) is the institution that manages the public procurement system in Romania, having as a fundamental role the conceptualizing, promoting and implementing public procurement policies, as well as monitoring the efficient operation of the public procurement system.

ANAP took over the duties, activity, positions and staff from the National Authority for Regulating and Monitoring of Public Procurement (ANRMAP), from the Public Procurement Coordination and Verification Unit (UCVAP) within the Ministry of Public Finance and from the public procurement verification departments within the regional general directorates of public finances.

The National Agency for Public Procurement is led by a president with the rank of state secretary, appointed by the Prime Minister of Romania.

Our goal is to strengthen the capacity to implement public procurement legislation at the level of contracting authorities and to promote, through our actions, a high level of professionalism, so that the Romanian public procurement system, as a whole, to be appreciated and perceived as an example of good practice at European level.
