Terre des Hommes Suisse (TdHS) is a Swiss organization founded in 1960, which works for children and development in solidarity. It develops its activities in alliance with local social organizations in 10 countries. TdHS is committed to building a fairer and more humane world, in which girls and boys fully experience their rights, with the commitment of the State, civil society and their ability to organize and claim their rights. TdHS has been present in Bolivia for more than 25 years, but opened its National Office in 2008.    

The work of TdHS aims to respect the rights of children and young people, as well as to strengthen solidarity, both in Switzerland and in other countries. This respect, and the consequent improvement of their living conditions, is built on the basis of the promotion of active citizenship, which reinforces the commitment of the agents of change to achieve this objective.

In the 2017-2020 period, TdHS has focused on effects at three levels:

Improvement of the living conditions of girls, boys and young people, through greater protection and promotion of their rights.

Strengthening the commitment and solidarity of civil society in favor of the rights of girls, boys and young people .
Improvement of the practices of some agents of change , whether they are TdHS, its partner organizations or the girls, boys and young people who are the protagonists of the interventions.
 

ThHS is part of the International Federation of Terre des Hommes, FITDH, which has consultative status with the United Nations.
