Netherlands Prison Service (DJI)

Service (DJI) ensures on behalf of the Minister of Security and Justice for the execution of sentences and custodial measures, imposed after the verdict of a court. 
With around 85 branches spread across the country and around 17,000 employees DJI one of the largest organizations in the Netherlands. Annually hosts DJI for short or long period 70,000 'guests'. The inclusion takes place in different types of devices, such as in prisons and detention centers for adults who penitentiaries (PI) respectively. But also in special facilities for the young, the young offenders' institutions (JJI). For (TBS) patients, there are forensic psychiatric centers (FPC) and allows for foreign DJI use of detention and deportation centers.DJI is an agency of the Ministry of Security and Justice. This means that DJI a degree of autonomy. Annually DJI is given a budget from the ministry and made arrangements for the supply by DJI performance.
