About

The Academy educates students at two faculties: Composition, Conducting, Vocal Studies, Music Theory and Artistic Education as well as Instrumental Studies, Jazz and Stage Music. We are one of nine music academies in Poland, the only one in the country that conducts studies in the field of historical performance practices and the specialty of artistic violin making.

From the moment when the Academy gained its own concert hall - Aula Nova (2006), its artistic activity developed in an extraordinary way. In addition to teaching, it began to play the role of a cultural institution and is currently one of the most important points on the musical map of Poznań. Aula Nova gives young performers a wide range of artistic presentations - Poznań music lovers can choose a variety of concerts from a rich program offer, which includes: symphonic, chamber, choral, composer, vocal concerts and recitals. For many years, the following concert cycles have been invariably very popular: Mondays at the Academy, Vocal Tuesdays, Organ Wednesdays, Thursdays with early music, Strings at the Academy, Masterpieces of chamber music, Pedagogues and their choirs, Students - students, Creaspirations, Music with the flow,

The ambition of the Academy's teachers is to conduct teaching at the highest level, implement attractive musical projects, promote and develop the artistic potential of the university, as well as inspire other institutions to creative activities - we cooperate harmoniously and effectively, among others. with the Poznań Philharmonic Tadeusz Szeligowski, the Music Society of them. Henryk Wieniawski, the Society of Feliks Nowowiejski, Teatr Wielki Stanisław Moniuszko, the Music Theater, the Polish Theater, the ZAMEK Culture Center and the Poznań Stage. Thanks to the signed agreements, the Academy participated in the organization of many significant festivals, such as: the International Festival of Contemporary Music "Poznań Music Spring", Nostalgia Festival, Malta Festival, Made in Chicago, Poznań Baroque.
