Borjomi Development Group (LAG)

The Borjomi Development Group is a voluntary body composed of representatives of the private and public sectors. Membership of the Borjomi Development Group is free. Borjomi Development Group consists of 26 members. Where, according to the "leader" principle, the number of representatives of the private sector exceeds the number of representatives of the public sector. Borjomi Development Group is the main decision-making body and performs the following tasks and responsibilities:

Develops, approves and implements local development strategies in consultation with local communities.
Establishes non-discriminatory and transparent evaluation and selection procedures for the review and selection of sub-projects and evaluates all sub-project applications in accordance with the criteria set out in the local development strategy.
Selects the strongest sub-projects and determines the amount of funding before submitting it to the accountable body for approval;
Monitors community-led local development strategies and selected sub-projects to assess their effectiveness and benefits for the region.
