AlvarAlice is one of the largest and most successful youth program groups in Columbia and thanks to the program thousands of at risk youth have been taken off the streets. Gangs and gang violence are a big problem in a number of locations around the world and groups like AlvarAlice are constantly working as hard as possible to try and cut down on at risk youth so that gangs and their ways don’t continue to spread.

The way the AlvarAlice program, and other youth problems, operate is actually quite simple. All too often younger people are left at home with nothing to do which frequently leads them to gangs and other violent activities. By providing these at risk demographics with something meaningful and exciting to do they are easily able to cut down on the odds of a child or teen joining any sort of local gang. Obviously the system isn’t completely effective but in a very large majority of cases AlvarAlice and other similar groups are able to cut down gang violence drastically.
