Contrasto is a unique institution in the world of photography, characterized by manifold activities and diversified high quality art enterprises. Created in 1986 to provide a new reference point for great documentary photography, throughout the years Contrasto has become the leading publisher in this field, the most important Italian photo-agency and a dynamic and consolidated cultural producer, working in cooperation with Italy most relevant public and private institutions.
In the 2005 Contrasto opened Forma, the internazional center of photography, in Milano.
A multi-functional spaces that offers diversified exhibiting areas, a rich exhibition program, movies projections, lectures and other educational activities. FORMA also hosts a specialized bookshop and a Print Room, which offers fine art photography prints for sale.
